Mississauga, Ontario Moving Companies
North American Van Lines: The Best of Mississauga Moving Companies
Located along Lake Ontario and southwest of Toronto, the city of Mississauga is one of the best bedroom communities of Toronto, but also boasts its own unique culture and personality. Mississauga is Canada's sixth largest metro area and certainly has a big-city feel, but also prides itself for many natural attractions and green space, making it a relaxing home at the same time. The city also has its own branch of the University of Toronto, so there is a solid student presence in town as well.
According to the 2011 Canadian Census, the population in Mississauga is rising fast, and there were more than 713,000 residents living in Mississauga that year. The census also revealed that Mississauga is seeing an increase in the number of retirees heading into the area, but the median age in Mississauga is around 38, so people from all walks of life are choosing the city as their new home.
Activities and Attractions in Mississauga
The Credit River runs straight through Mississauga, a body of water that is packed with Atlantic, Coho and Chinook salmon. Many avid fishermen love to comb the waters here in search of the next big catch, and Erindale Park is a popular spot that is open year-round for local residents to cast a line.
Mississauga is also an excellent place to live if you love to shop. Square One shopping center is one of the hottest places for retail therapy in town with everything from shoes to computers to fine jewelry for sale.
The city's green space makes it the perfect spot for golf, and there are several fairways to choose from in town, including Lionhead Golf & Country Club, Credit Valley Golf and Country Club, BraeBen Golf & Country Club and the Mississauga Golf and Country Club. There's no better place in the Toronto area for those who like to work on their swing.
